"Wonderful Invention!!! I've looked in many stores for an item like this and couldn't find one. In fact, a couple of weeks ago I mentioned to my husband that it would be a good item to try to develop, not that I've ever done anything like that :)! The next thing I know, I see this wand on QVC and ordered it at once without watching a presentation or video.

"I've been using the Body-Reach+ wand for years. Several years ago when I needed something to apply lotions to my back, I went online and researched all the different applicators that were available. None of them looked very good and most of the reviews talked about applicator sponges falling off after a few usages. The sponges were all small and the handles were inflexible. They really looked more disposable. I didn't like the looks of the ball lotion applicators, especially since I was beginning to apply oils as well.
This looked great! I bought it, and I 've never looked back except once. The products became temporarily unavailable, (death in the family) and I had to go elsewhere for the pads. I got something from England that was barely adequate (short handle, hard pads, glue issues) and then one day I got an email saying these products would be available again! I was overjoyed and immediately went to the site to purchase my pads which arrived VERY quickly.
There is absolutely nothing else like this out there. It travels easily (you can bend it to fit in your suitcase or get a shorter one) and if you do use oils, keep the head clean and the Velcro will last a very long time. My only wish is that they also sold the Velcro "white" rounds as I do eventually manage to get oil under it. However, I have been using the same one for many months with no problem."

"Heaven on a handle when you have two-inch hives in the middle of your back in the middle of the night! This is a very well built, heavy duty wand that comes in three lengths for persons with different levels ofshoulder or hip mobility: 14", 18", and 22". Unfortunately, they don't (at this time) appear on the same Amazon listing, so just search BENDABLE BODY WAND to find another length.
The range of motion in my shoulders varies with flare-ups of arthritis, so I just ordered the longest. In photos it looked sturdy enough to last a lifetime, and I didn't want to have to order another if my shoulder froze up again. I wasn't wrong: this is very sturdy. The handle seems to be solid but very light plastic. When you bend it for use, it holds long enough for applying lotion, but it will straighten somewhat, though not completely, between uses. I note this only in case you are considering it for someone with weak arms who lives alone and needs a deep bend in the handle. Otherwise, it's not an issue. It also means you can straighten the bend as needed.
As advertised, the SpongeAble does no soak up your lotion or cream. I haven't tried it yet with alcohol or other light liquids, but imagine it would be fine. Oh - without the SpongeAble, it works pretty well as a back scratcher! Not recommended by the manufacturer or probably any dermatologist, but when desperation strikes, the Velcro (white) attachment w/o the SpongeAble is fine for a light scratching.
Finally, it comes with a Velcro dot that can be applied in such a way that you can wrap the SpongeAble around the tip and use the wand for washing between toes. If someone's mobility limitation prevents bending, this would do double duty! In short, VERY impressive LIFETIME product. OK, I haven't had it that long, but I just don't see how it can break. Very well made!"

"This was shown to me by a dermatologist at U of M Dermatology, so I ordered one when I left his office. It arrived within 2 days. I told my wife, 'It sounds goofy that I’d be excited over a lotion applicator, but this thing is great!' The Velco works great, and the pads hold the lotion. Clean up is very easy.
The sales staff at this company were truly happy to have my business, not to mention I talked to an actual human being as opposed to an automated voice. I highly recommend this product for people who have to put topicals on, can’t reach all of their back. I use it to apply lotion to legs as well. I plan on showing this to my local dermatologist to promote to his patients."

"When I could no longer locate the Abdo Medical products (for me, the foam refills-SpongeAbles) I was deeply discouraged. I researched other applicators and found one from England that appeared usable. It was barely adequate, but was far better than anything else out there. However, every time I used it I longed, longed, longed for my Body-Reach+ wand. This other one was too short, the pads were hard and it just didn't apply right.
There is nothing else out there like the Body-Reach+ wand, NOTHING! I'm truly rejoicing right now that I can get my absolute favorite products again! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Your review wording should include Great!

"This is the one! I’ve owned – and reviewed – two other lotion applicators in the last year, and both have been disappointing. This one seems to be just what I need. The pads are softer, thicker and broader than the pads from the first applicator I purchased. They’re held on by a velcro-like strip so there’s no glue for the oils and lotions to undermine, and because they can be removed for washing, they’ll last far longer than the flimsy little pads I was using before.
Compared to the applicator with the rolling balls in the head, this one is much more flexible, making breakage unlikely. It’s also slightly curved so you don’t have to put as much pressure on it as you apply your lotions and creams. It has a good, long handle that’s comfortable to hold and a strap for hanging. It comes with a nice set of instructions and two pads, an extra velcro strip, and a list of other accessories. For the money, it’s the best, most well-thought-out product of its sort. Spend a bit extra and be satisfied longer."
